Renso Golden Bear

Our Visionary Partner

Linda Vu

Linda Vu is a distinguished entrepreneur with nearly three decades of experience in the high-technology and advanced engineering sectors, complemented by several years of living, working, and developing projects in Canada. Her career is defined by a global strategic mindset, deep expertise in technology, supply chains, and international standards, and a proven ability to build sustainable, long-term value-driven businesses.

During her time in Canada, Linda Vu developed a strong appreciation for the exceptional quality of Canadian and North American timber, an ideal material for luxury residences and refined wooden interiors. She also identified a key market challenge: the high cost of manufacturing and construction labor in North America, which significantly impacts project efficiency.

Recognizing a strategic opportunity to redefine value, Linda Vu envisioned combining premium North American timber with Vietnam’s advanced, cost-efficient manufacturing capabilities and highly skilled craftsmanship.

Together with strategic partners Tom (Founder of Golden Eight) and John (Founder of Rolling Bear), she co-founded RENSO GOLDEN BEAR (RGB). RGB delivers luxury wooden homes and high-end interiors built to North American standards, offering timeless design, exceptional quality, and optimized value for clients across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and international markets.

Tom Duong

Tom Duong brings over 12 years of engineering experience from a major Canadian hospital and more than 25 years in international trade, covering advanced medical equipment, technology transfer, agriculture, forestry, and other sectors. In the forestry industry, he has managed major timber transactions across multiple countries, working with softwood, hardwood, and exotic species.

Through extensive global experience, Tom has gained a broad perspective on international business. He observed that developed nations consistently innovate—enhancing quality, design, and cost efficiency—while developing countries often face inefficiencies in energy and human resource management.

Recognizing the growing demand for housing in Canada and abroad, Tom concluded that reducing production costs requires addressing material and manufacturing expenses. A vertically integrated model—overseeing everything from raw materials and design to production, logistics, and direct marketing—proved the most sustainable path forward.

Sharing this vision, Tom Duong, Linda Vu, and John Beck founded Renso Golden Bear (RGB) to leverage British Columbia’s rich wood resources and deliver high‑quality, affordable homes that uphold exceptional craftsmanship and value.

John Beck

John Beck is a lifelong entrepreneur, primarily in the building industry, currently focused on delivering high-quality modular tiny homes and prefabricated residential homes—including laneway houses—as well as custom-crafted furniture and wood products. With extensive experience in construction, landscape development, and small land projects, he has built a career around practical, sustainable housing solutions and creative craftsmanship.

John’s leadership philosophy centers on balance, nature, and personal growth. He embraces ongoing development in leadership, communication, and public speaking, believing that creativity is the driving force behind meaningful work. Staying close to nature allows him to continuously transform innovative ideas into actionable, results-driven plans.

Recently, John joined forces with Tom and Linda in a synergistic partnership that aligns their shared vision for the timber industry. Their collaboration focuses on leveraging Canada’s natural resources responsibly and sustainably, expanding alongside international partners, and addressing a critical market need: high-quality, affordable homes. The Renso Golden Bear mission is to provide premium yet affordable housing while advancing sustainable timber practices and fostering positive, enlightened collaboration with integrity across the industry.

Beyond business, John’s journey includes family ventures connected to forestry and a deep interest in personal development, leadership, and emotional intelligence. He remains inspired by the belief that “creativity is the steam engine to our souls,” using that philosophy to drive innovation, empower teams, and deliver lasting value to clients and communities alike.
